Spinal Weaponry is the term for the manual weapons that are found on most combat ships. Spinals can be classified as Phasers, Cannons, or Torpedoes.

Spinals are activated with the keys F and G, with F being the Primary Spinal, and G being the Secondary Spinal (if equipped).

Spinals deal high damage per shot and have a long range relative to Turrets, but they have a low projectile velocity.

Spinal Weaponry is always aimed manually by the pilot and requires the pilot to fire each shot (they do not fire automatically like Turrets). Your ship needs to be pointed towards your target in order to land a hit with these weapons, and a moving target isn't particularly easy to hit with large Spinal Weaponry, which is also why pirates prefer smaller Spinal Weaponry, as the rate of fire of smaller Spinals is greater, therefore increasing the reliability against moving targets.

Most ships are equipped with either Phasers or Cannons as Spinals, if any, to varying degrees of firepower. Some ships rely entirely on Spinal Weaponry for their firepower, while others are equipped with them as a secondary weapon.

Phasers deal high damage to shield but low damage to hull and travel quickly. They appear as a rectangular prism, slightly transparent and red in color, and make a "pew" laser noise similar to Light Laser Turrets. The sound is repeated for every individual beam fired.

Cannons deal high damage to hull but low damage to shield and travel slowly. They appear as mostly-white cubes with a grey, pebble-like pattern on all sides. They also give off a tan-white fire trail when fired, and make a unique noise when fired. Some ships have Cannons that also make a minigun-like noise when fired, mostly notably the Sixfold.

Torpedoes are special weapons only found on a few ships, namely the Starblade, Spiderblade, Centurion, Viking, Belvat, Zhen, Hasatan, Kraken, Avalon, MRLS Launcher, Frozen MRLS Launcher, and the Prototype X-1. The last three are the only ships that have unique Torpedo designs. The only NPC ship with Torpedoes is the Kodiak.

Their long range, high damage per hit, and low projectile speed makes them powerful against static or slow targets.

  • If a Torpedo hits a base, the whole faction will be notified with the message "A Torpedo has hit your base."
  • Since Torpedoes are ranged and have high damage, some people prefer it over Sieging.
  • The Tengu used to bear 2 Small Torpedoes before they were replaced with 4 Medium Cannons.
  • The only ship with a Huge Torpedo is the Kraken.
  • The Kodiak contains 8 Medium Torpedoes, allowing it to have the highest amount of damage per volley. (4000)
